1. Worship Leader
Mission: Christ’s Foundry United Methodist Mission (CF) makes disciples of Jesus Christ through holistically helping children, youth, and families. The WL is tasked with making disciples of Jesus Christ through recruiting, training, equipping, and empowering worship participants.
Guiding Scriptures:
Ephesians 4:12 – to equip God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up.
John 4:23 But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him.
Duties, responsibilities, authority, and outcomes of the WL:
- Discipleship of Worship Teams: Organize, equip, and disciple the worship band as well as Choir, Next Generation band. WL will also assist with the coordination of Children’s Choir and other worship teams.
- Worship Planning: Work with pastor, staff, and worship team on selection of songs, themes, audiovisual preparations, Pro-Presenter, stage design, special presentations, music and preparation. Worship leader will be responsible for managing Planning Center, the tracks software, and for scheduling musicians/band.
- Worship Leading: Lead worship Sunday mornings (currently 11:00am service), lead prayer vigils and other special services, ensure ProPresenter and media is prepared and accurate.
- Music Classes: offers the opportunity for deeper learning and discipleship for students and for the WL to earn extra income through the use of mission facilities and resources for the recruitment, organization and implementation of these classes.
Skills required:
- Demonstrated skills in making disciples of Jesus Christ including recruitment, equipping, training, and sending forth.
- Demonstrated skills at leading worship and worship teams.
- WL should have ability to play guitar or piano
- Ability to lead worship in Spanish and in English
- Technical skills in sound, lights, Office, ProPresenter, and planning center as well as a working knowledge of using worship tracks
- Must be a self-starter with skills in taking initiative as well as work well as a team.
*Worship leader will be expected to lead worship during additional Holy Week and Christmas services
Compensation: Compensation commiserate with experience, plus opportunity for additional income from worship camps and private/group lessons in CF facilities.

2. Mission Administrator
CF Mission: Christ’s Foundry United Methodist Mission (CF) makes disciples of Jesus Christ through holistically helping children, youth, and families in the North Love Field neighborhood in Dallas, Texas who speak Spanish, English, or both.
Relationship to Mission: In our Wesleyan tradition, helping others is a means of grace. The administrator of CF contributes to the mission of Christ’s Foundry through equipping the people of God for works of service by providing essential clerical and administrative support to the pastor, staff, congregation, and community of Christ’s Foundry.
Guiding Scriptures:

Nehemiah 10:39 The people of Israel, including the Levites, are to bring their contributions of grain, new wine and olive oil to the storerooms, where the articles for the sanctuary and for the ministering priests, the gatekeepers and the musicians are also kept. “We will not neglect the house of our God.”
Duties & Responsibilities:
The Administrator will serve primarily in the three ministry areas listed below:
- Office Administration
- Assets Administration
- Communication
Office Administration:
- Provide hospitality to all who enter the church during office hours and connect both members and visitors to resources as necessary, including maintaining a clean office/welcome space
- Communicate with staff on congregational needs such as pastoral care or new visitors
- Maintain church membership rolls and attendance sheets including baptisms, baptism and membership certificates, and other important documentation and files.
- Provide coordination for the Finance Team & communicate with church accountant
- Other office administration duties as assigned by the pastor or deemed needed by program staff.
Assets Administrator and Ministry Support:
- Recruit, equip, and deploy disciples for cleaning, maintaining, decorating, and improving the facilities and property of CF (office equipment and supplies, trash, landscaping, closets and storage, lights, van, equipment, Romero House, parking lot, office hours, etc.)
- Supervise the paid custodial assistant
- Assist in the maintenance and organization of ministry supplies and facility needs, including materials for children, youth, and adult classes.
- Works with the Finance Team and the accountant of the church in the processing of pledges, tithes and offerings, and deposits of offerings and assists with the accounting of the church.
- Oversee and coordinate all building and equipment use (church events, outside groups, building rentals, weddings, quinceañeras, and all programming such as meetings, life groups, Project Transformation, music classes, nursery, kitchen disciples each Sunday morning, 9934 Webb Chapel, etc.) and ensure proper care and policies are followed for reservations, payments, usage, set-up, cleaning, etc.
- Serve as the liaison between users of the facility and the church as an entity with a focus on customer service.
- Ensure the security of the building, including the appropriate use of locks, alarms, and access.
- Maintain the facility, and especially the office, in an orderly and hospitable manner.
- Other asset administration and ministry support duties as assigned by the pastor or deemed needed by program staff.
Communications
- Answer phone calls and email messages & communicate with appropriate persons.
- Assist ministry areas in producing fliers, brochures, signs, and promotional items. These include but are not limited to the signs on doors and in restrooms as well as maintain the information center located in the lobby of the mission.
- Create and print weekly bulletins
- Maintain fresh messages on external, digital message board
Skills:
- Proven success and experience in servant leadership
- Must be bilingual (English & Spanish) & bicultural (experience working in communities with groups of people diverse in culture, ethnicity, religious/socioeconomic backgrounds)
- Must be highly organized and have strong communication skills
- Experience in organizing, inspiring, supporting, and encouraging volunteers
- Competency in e-mail, social media, Microsoft Office and Quickbooks
- Experience in coordinating numerous activities and comfort in multi-tasking
- Desire to learn and to receive and apply feedback in order to continually grow and improve
- Must be a team player who is comfortable working with a diverse staff
- Must maintain open communication and close working relationship with the Pastor and staff
Job Location:
- Office hours at CF (shared office space)
- Weekly meeting with the Pastor and staff will be required
Hours: Part-time, 20 hours per week with seasonal flexibility
- Sundays 10:30am-1:30pm (3 hours)
- Monday-Thursday daily office hours (16 hours)
- Flex hours (1 hour)
- The Mission is generally closed on Fridays
- Saturdays have occasional events which have the opportunity for additional contract pay with persons renting the facility.
